Bringing weapons into Denmark for the purpose of the world championship for pointing dog & St. Hubertus cup.
As a general rule you have to be able to document, that you can legally acquire, poses, carry and use the weapon in question in your own country – for instance a weapons permit or similar.
You need to be able to document to the Danish customs that you have a legal reason for bringing the weapon into Denmark. You can do this by bringing along the invitation to this competition.
When importing and exporting your weapon to and from Denmark you need to declare the weapon. For citizens within the EU, this can be done with an EU-firearms passport. For competitors from countries outside the EU you need to fill out this document (CLICK HERE) and present both form-A and B at the customs. The customs officer will keep form-A and return a stamped Form-B to you.
When leaving Denmark, you need to hand over Form-B to customs.
The dog must be vaccinated against distemper and parvo. Foreign dogs must also be vaccinated against rabies according to Danish legislation.
